Arrowtown Apothecary Nature Club
After-school nature immersion and hand skill building for tamariki - starting Term 3
Pre-enrolment gives you priority access when enrolments open. It's not a binding commitment - just your place at the front of the line.
Two and a half hours of unhurried, hands-on time in the natural world.
The Arrowtown Apothecary Nature Club is an after-school programme for primary-aged children - a place to slow down, get their hands dirty, and learn in the way children learn best: by doing, by being outside, and by being genuinely curious.
We collect the children from school at 3pm and walk together to our community space regardless of the weather. What follows is two and a half hours of hands-on learning rooted in nature, seasons, and the living world around us.
Our curriculum draws from the living world - plant identification, medicine and herbal crafting, backyard ecosystems, water and soil, building hand skills, mindfulness and movement. Each session is shaped by the season and led with intention.
Led by a degree-qualified naturopath, nutritionist, herbalist, and yoga teacher with a deep love of this place and the children who grow up in it. Sessions are $25pp and include afternoon tea consisting of fresh fruit and daily baking.
